The Devil’s Town’ among 77 finalists of New seven world wonders of nature

The Devil’s Town’ was yesterday officially named among 77 candidates for election of New seven world wonders of nature. It shall be known on July 21 whether our candidate shall be among the 28 finalists. That decision shall be made by experts of Bernard Webber Agency from Switzerland.


In the first round of voting ‘The Devil’s Town’ took the first place in Europe and the 11th in the world among 170 candidates.
The candidacy of ‘The Devil’s Town’ contributed significantly to huge increase in the number of visitors to the site. Six years ago there were about 3,000 visitors each year. However, in recent two years more than 80,000 tourists from the country and abroad visited the location.
